Cloud Browsing Guide
We have a soft spot for cloud gazing, ever since we picked up Gavin Pretor-Pinney's book The Cloudspotter's Guide we've become a little obsessed with identifying different cloud types in the sky. There are many varieties of clouds and this little guide only covers the 10 main cloud categories, within each of these though there are many species and varieties, but we felt this was a good start for an aspiring cloud browser. The different cloud altitudes are denoted by the high, mid, low on the left and contribute to the distinctive features of each cloud. If you’d like to learn more head to the Cloud Appreciation Society’s site or the International Cloud Atlas.
Picnics are a perfect place for cloud spotting but so are views out of car windshields or even your living room window. We hope this little guide will offer you a little distraction and something to look forward to on even the gloomiest of days.
